It's Not Working!

If the buttons are not working (and it doesn't say "Not Running"), try the manual address. Open QuickTime Player, select Open URL in the File menu, and type
video: "rtsp://128.194.247.63:554/breakaway/baway_live_video.sdp"
audio only: "rtsp://128.194.247.63:554/breakaway/baway_live_audio.sdp"

Still Not Working... Make Sure you have Quicktime properly installed. If you do not anything that says "watch now" then it is likely not properly installed
One reason that a lot of people have problems connecting to a live stream, is that they are behind some type of firewall. If you are unfamiliar with this type of technology, then you may want to get some help with your connection from someone else. Basically a firewall is usually a software or hardware based device that protects your computer from the outside world. It does this by blocking various ports (or holes) that allow information to travel into your computer from the internet. The Internet, or World Wide Web operates on port 80, which is rarely ever blocked. The streaming technology that the Breakaway live server uses, operates on port 554, called the RTSP port. If you are using a router in your home or apartment to split or protect your connection, then this is most likely why you can't view the stream.
The best solution to this problem is to change to the alternate transport method:

  1. Open up your Quicktime Control Panel
  2. Under connection, select "Transport Setup..."
  3. Change "Transport Protocol" to "HTTP" and the "Port ID" to "80"
  4. If this fails to work, or you continually get a message that says "Not Found" then change the "Port ID" to "554", but change it back after viewing this stream as this is not the standard port. Then, send a message to us using the form above so that we can fix a misconfiguration in the server.
Or, Here is more information on the streaming ports for those of you interested in opening up the ports in your home or office.
