Further Study in Genesis:

For a deeper exploration of the book of Genesis I would recommend a couple of resources:

1. Bruce Waltke wrote a commentary entitled Genesis: A Commentary that is very good.  It also has an easy-to-remember title.

2. Sailhamer also has a great commentary, though I did not consult it for this series.

3. I wrote small group Bible studies on Genesis several years ago.  I have included the leader’s guides for Genesis 1-3 as links below.  I have not footnoted this material so it is important for me to mention that the studies were heavily influenced by Dr. Bruce Waltke, Dr. Ron Allen, and a lecture series on Genesis delivered by Tommy Nelson, pastor of Denton Bible Church.
