Ministries Intern

"But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works." (Psalm 73:28)

Hey! My name is Daniel Park and I am an intern at Breakaway for 2006-2007! I'm very excited to be here and become part of such an incredible ministry! This verse is a great explanation of my heart right now and my hope for Breakaway. What a joy it will be to see the truth of the gospel of Jesus dig deep into the hearts of the students and go further out to others who do not know Him. On December 4, 1982 I was born in Knoxville, TN. I lived there for the majority of my life, except for the year when I was 10 in which my family lived in Corvallis, Oregon. After high school I attended Clemson University in South Carolina, where I received a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. My time at Clemson was a wonderful experience of growth in my walk with the Lord and my love for others. Some of my favorite memories of college were the lunches, walks, and just time to sitting with other guys and sharing life together. I learned so much from those times, which is why I am so excited about this year and the opportunity to walk alongside students in the Bryan/College Station area. My journey thus far has been greatly influenced by my amazing parents, who have been godly examples and encouragement my entire life. I have two older sisters, Rebekah and Emily, and a younger brother, Jeremy. I would consider each of my siblings to be some of my best friends, and I know that each of us would do anything for the others. Their walks with the Lord are continually challenging and edifying me. Finally, my dream is start a Youth Hostel in Prague, Czech Republic with David Baker, Jason McFarland, and Michael Johnson. It will be called the Mosaic House, and hopefully be an avenue for the Gospel to enter the lives of both travelers and locals. God has been opening many doors, and this dream is becoming more and more a reality. I love the European culture and am very excited to hopefully be living there in the future! It is truly an honor to work with Breakaway Ministries here in College Station! I'm excited about the things God will do this year in so many hearts and lives!
